SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MONTH!

At Moulton Niguel, we recognize the importance of being ready for the unpredictable, so we’re taking great strides to enhance our readiness for any situation. The goal of maintaining a resilient water infrastructure system is not just a priority but a commitment we uphold to ensure the well-being of our community. Here are a few ways that Moulton Niguel is preparing for emergencies.
We take great pride in operating and maintaining our water infrastructure system, so we proactively maintain and regularly test it to be ready for emergencies. You may see our team in your neighborhood inspecting equipment to ensure it all works as intended.
For years, Moulton Niguel Water District has partnered closely with local healthcare facilities to strengthen resources and infrastructure against the impact of emergency events. Through dedicated efforts, we have strategically positioned Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo on multiple water feeds, ensuring a reliable water supply even during crises.
Moulton Niguel has built strong partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies. Our proactive interaction and pre-planned agreements with various agencies and community partners ensure our response efforts are coordinated and efficient. The partnerships allow us to respond swiftly to unforeseen situations and obtain disaster relief and reimbursement funding.
Moulton Niguel consistently reinvests ratepayer funds into building and maintaining a robust water and wastewater infrastructure system. Over the next ten years, we will reinvest more than $460 million in replacing and upgrading our infrastructure assets. This investment in our water and wastewater infrastructure includes water reliability projects, valve replacements, and ongoing rehabilitation of the District’s reservoirs, pump stations, and transmission mains.
