Payment Plans 

If you’re struggling to stay current on your water bill, Moulton Niguel Water District offers customers the chance to pay over a 12-month period with a Payment Plan. Click the below link or call us at (949) 831-2500 to enroll in a payment plan.

Other Assistance Options 

 You may qualify for assistance through several external programs; however funding is not guaranteed. 

Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)

LIHWAP is a limited-time, federally funded relief program that provides financial assistance to low-income households to make water and/or wastewater payments. The program is administered by the Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) and benefits are scheduled to be available from June 2022 to March 31, 2024. California Extended Water & Wastewater Arrearage Payment Program – For eligible customers with outstanding, unpaid charges from June 16, 2021, through December 31, 2022

The State Water Resources Control Board has extended the COVID-19 relief period to include June 16, 2021, through December 31, 2022. This one-time financial assistance credit is provided by the State Water Resources Control Board using American Rescue Plan Act funds. Moulton Niguel Water District applied for, and was awarded $231,032.85, on behalf of our eligible customers who meet the requirements for the California Extended Water and Wastewater Arrearage Payment Program. The credits were distributed to qualifying customers in May 2024.

Should you need assistance paying your remaining balance, the District encourages customers to apply for a payment plan.  With a payment plan, the unpaid charges will be divided over 12 months in equal monthly installments with your regular monthly bill.
