Moulton Niguel is building a new treatment facility in Laguna Niguel that will improve our recycled water, helping reduce our dependence on imported drinking water.
The project’s centerpiece is a new Salinity Management System at our Regional Treatment Plant, which treats about 7.5 million gallons of wastewater a day. The new system will enhance our recycled water supply and create more opportunities for recycled water to be used for irrigation throughout South Orange County.
Our crews have installed underground piping and constructed the building’s foundation, including concrete floors and walls. This $41 million project is on track for completion in 2027.
