INSPIRING FUTURE LEADERS OF WATER
Moulton Niguel is investing in the next generation of water leaders through our education programs. This past month, we joined two Orange County festivals where hundreds of students built water-wise habits through hands-on learning.
At the Children’s Water Education Festival in Silverado, our staff led an activity where students ran the water use numbers themselves and saw how a small household leak can waste thousands of gallons of water each year. For many, it was the first time a water bill became something they could picture.
At the Children’s Environmental Fair in Mission Viejo, our staff walked students through a portable watershed model. Students traced how rain moves across neighborhoods, into storm drains, and out to the ocean, seeing firsthand how a dropped candy wrapper can end up polluting our waterways.
We’re proud to help South Orange County’s next generation get a head start on becoming smart and responsible water users and environmental stewards.
