EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS: UPGRADING OUR RESERVOIR SYSTEMS
Wildfires are a year-round threat in South Orange County. When one strikes, our community needs reliable access to water from our local reservoirs.
To ensure our reservoirs are always ready, Moulton Niguel recently completed our fourth $11 million phase of our Reservoir Management System Replacements Program. This ongoing program has modernized 17 reservoir sites so far, with more upgrades to come. The work modernized metering technology, pumps, mixing systems, and sampling stations, and added new safety equipment for our crews.
These upgrades are one part of our plan to invest approximately $600 million over the next decade in building and maintaining reliable water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure systems.
