Moulton Niguel has begun a $34.5 million investment in a new Salinity Management Facility at our Regional Treatment Plant. This critical facility treats approximately 7.5 million gallons of wastewater per day—about 70% of the total wastewater generated within our service area.
The project includes a new treatment building equipped with advanced ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis treatment systems, as well as pumps, piping and supporting electrical and chemical facilities. Upon completion, the Salinity Management Facility will enhance the District’s ability to produce higher-quality recycled water, supporting a drought-safe water supply for our customers and maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship.
