In 2025, Moulton Niguel delivered billions of gallons of clean drinking water, educated more than 4,500 students through hands-on water and environmental programs, advanced critical infrastructure projects, and helped customers save millions of gallons through conservation and leak detection.

Emergency Preparedness & Planning

Moulton Niguel Water District remains prepared for emergencies through year-round planning. The District maintains backup generators at its critical facilities and maintains more than 7,000 fire hydrants throughout our service area. Moulton Niguel staff are certified by the National Incident Command System and regularly collaborate with the Orange County Fire Authority on local fire preparedness.

INVESTING IN OUR INFRASTRUCTURE

In 2025, Moulton Niguel invested $54 million in capital infrastructure projects. With more than $2 billion of water and wastewater infrastructure assets, Moulton Niguel makes it a priority to reinvest ratepayer funds into building and maintaining a reliable and resilient water and wastewater systems.

Regional Force Main Replacement Project
Moulton Niguel is replacing nearly two miles of sewer pipelines within the Laguna Niguel Regional Park to better withstand the effects of severe storms and seismic events. The new pipelines will help to ensure continued safe and reliable service from Moulton Niguel’s largest pump station to the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. Construction is underway through spring 2027 and is being completed in phases to minimize impacts on park visitors. A $10.3 million federal grant helps reduce project costs for our customers.

Crown Valley Pipeline Replacement
This spring, the District completed work on our $18 million Crown Valley Pipeline Replacements Project, which upgraded essential water and wastewater infrastructure located beneath Crown Valley Parkway. The two miles of new pipelines will ensure safe and reliable service for decades to come.
