Adjusting your sprinklers to make sure there is no overlap and that you’re not watering patios and sidewalks can help save about 250 gallons per cycle.
Plants require less water in the fall and winter, so adjust your irrigation timer to reflect the shorter days and cooler nights of the season. Reduce most plants and turf to a maximum of 3 to 4 minutes of watering 1 to 2 days per station and you’ll save thousands of gallons each month. For a guide to plant watering click here.
Please note: Be sure to use the appropriate sprinkler heads to minimize flow and eliminate over spray and runoff. It is recommended that 1 gpm spray nozzles are used to help you stay within your budget. Remember, every sprinkler nozzle is a shower!
