Moulton Niguel Water District: Committed to Serving Our Customers
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our Board Vice President Scott Colton. Director Colton’s visionary leadership and service for nearly a decade on the Board has helped the District to provide the highest quality water at the lowest possible rates, reduce our water demand through efficient use and reuse, and maintain fiscal strength.
Director Colton is cherished by his family at Moulton Niguel Water District, and will always be remembered for his utmost professionalism, character, and commitment to the District and the customers we serve. We will honor his memory by continuing to advance the innovative programs, sustainable water solutions, and high levels of service that the District offers.
Supporting Educational Programs: Project WET
School is starting up again and there are some great educational programs and partners that we are collaborating with to support our local students and school districts.
Moulton Niguel has partnered with Project WET, a national program to provide teachers and administrators with tools to educate students about environmental subjects, including water. This summer, we hosted free training sessions at Saddleback Valley Unified School District that provided water education materials to K-12 educators and after-school educational professionals to incorporate into their classrooms.

Moulton Niguel Celebrating Major Milestone: 50 Years of Water Recycling
This year, we are celebrating 50 years of using recycled water! Since 1968, Moulton Niguel has collaborated with parks, recreational facilities, golf courses, and more, to use recycled water to irrigate landscapes. Operating one of the state’s most successful water recycling programs, Moulton Niguel reuses more than 2 billion gallons of water every year.
Recycled water meets about 25 percent of the district’s water demands, reduces our dependence on imported water, and provides our customers with reliable access to water. Our recycled water program has conserved billions of gallons of water and helped thousands of customers save money. Thank you to all of our customers of the past 50 years who have made the switch to recycled water, and to those customers today who are continuing to propel our recycled water program to further success! Moulton Niguel Shows Appreciation to Public Safety Officials
Last month, we hosted our annual Public Safety Appreciation event to thank our public service partners for their assistance in responding to the water service and related public safety needs of our residents. Moulton Niguel team members and public safety officials from across our district came together to celebrate our partnership. We are grateful to have such a positive relationship with our local public safety officials that help us serve our customers! For more event pictures visit our Facebook page.
