Thank You for Joining Team Moulton Niguel to Help Clean Our Local Creeks

Thank you to our community members who joined Team Moulton Niguel for the annual Aliso Viejo Creek Clean-Up event on Saturday, Sept. 16! In celebration of our 11th consecutive year of participation, we encouraged our communities to join us and the City of Aliso Viejo in removing trash and debris that would otherwise remain at the local creeks and trails, and end up in the ocean. As an agency who is committed to preserving our coastal ecosystems and protecting our environment, we look forward to this event every year and were delighted to bring more volunteers to this event.

Together, our communities collected more than 800 pounds of trash! We are so grateful for everyone’s participation in this important event and thank the City of Aliso Viejo for its continued leadership in organizing the clean-up.

Bringing Water Education to Our Schools

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration to kick off the new school year, we have partnered with OC Coastkeeper to launch an innovative water education program that will get kids involved in water conservation and environmental protection. Under the W.H.A.L.E.S. program (Watershed Heroes: Actions Linking Education to Stewardship), local students will have an opportunity to go on field trips to a local watershed, take part in interactive learning activities and even conduct a water quality test of their own.
Open to all middle school classes in the Moulton Niguel Water District service area, the program provides busing for students, teachers, and class chaperones as they explore local watersheds and learn how to secure a sustainable water future. For more information about the organizations’ collective efforts to provide water education and protect our natural resources, visit Moulton Niguel Water District at mnwd.com and the Orange County Coastkeeper at www.coastkeeper.org.

Our Commitment TO YOU!

Day or night, we work tirelessly to ensure high-quality water is delivered to your homes and businesses.
We commend our outstanding staff and service partners who are also our first responders during emergency water situations. As a reminder, you can always call us at (949) 831-2500 for any water emergencies. We look forward to continue providing high levels of service to our communities.

Take Control of Outdoor Watering this Fall

While the Fall season may still deliver warm weather, keep in mind the days are shorter, which means we should shorten our outdoor watering times. Did you know that reducing your sprinkler timer back by one minute can save 80 gallons of water? Or that transforming your landscape to a California friendly garden can help save 40 gallons of water a day? The smallest of changes can have big impacts to your water use, and your water bill.

We offer a variety of rebates, programs and tools to help you remain water-efficient this season.

Join Moulton Niguel at an upcoming public board meeting or local community events. For up-to-date event information and more details, visit us at:mnwd.com/events.
