Moulton Niguel Hosts “H2O for HOAs” Workshop

Moulton Niguel Water District General Manager Joone Lopez delivers opening remarks at H2O for HOAs event.

Nearly 75% of our residents live in one of nearly 400 HOAs in the Moulton Niguel service area! Recognizing the importance of reaching out to this large customer base, Moulton Niguel held a specialized workshop focused on providing water education and information to HOA property managers, board members, and landscapers. Attendees learned more about water-saving techniques, eliminating runoff, and protecting water quality.

Presentations covered a broad range of topics including stormwater best management practices, water efficiency rebates, resources and tools, integrated pest management, and native plants and landscapes.

“We had great questions from the attendees, and it was a valuable opportunity for us to continue engaging with such a large and unique customer base,” said Moulton Niguel Water Efficiency Manager Lindsey Stuvick.

Moulton Niguel Educates Students and Young Professionals on Water Careers, Infrastructure

Over the last few months, several different community groups visited us to learn about topics ranging from water supply, conservation, infrastructure, careers and much more. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with our customers and interested community members to showcase how we provide high-quality water on a day-to-day basis. Students and young professionals of all ages toured District facilities to learn firsthand about how our infrastructure delivers reliable water service, and got to meet the staff who oversee our daily operations. We were pleased to have our Board Members participate in several of the events and lead discussions about our service-minded organization!

A group of young professionals in the Coro Fellowship Program learned what it takes to replace a valve and why doing so is important to the District’s infrastructure improvement and water reliability program.
A homeschool co-op class at Capistrano Valley Christian School learned about water conservation and water operations as they toured a local pump station to understand how water is delivered to their homes.
Local middle school students learned about the wide range of exciting career opportunities in the water industry as they visited with District Staff at our Operations Center.
