Indoors

• Replace Your Old Water-Hogging Toilet
Today’s ultra-low-flush toilets are modern, efficient and come in
many stylish colors.

• Check for Leaks in Your Toilet
Place a few drops of food coloring in the toilet tank. If colored
water appears in the bowl, you have a leak.

• Use Low-Flow Showerheads
New models provide a powerful spray and are moderately priced.

• Use Full Loads in Your Dishwasher and
  Clothes Washing Machine

Because dishwashers typically use 12 gallons per load and clothes
washing machines 40 gallons, run only full loads to save on water
use. In addition, new high-efficiency, front-loading clothes washing
machines save energy, electricity and water.
