As your local water supplier, Moulton Niguel Water takes an active role in our community. Moulton Niguel Water District was brought into existence by local citizens to meet local needs. Your elected Board of Directors has made a commitment to provide the community with information on current water issues in addition to providing water services. There are many opportunities for you to learn more about your water supply and water resources. In 1979, members of the community came together to form the Moulton Niguel Water District Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC was formed to increase communication with District customers and to generate feedback from the community. The group is made up of community leaders and interested residents who wish to learn more about water management and water resources.
Ricki the Rambunctious Raindrop is MWDOC's Education Program mascot. If you are interested in learning more about available water education programs, please call Kathleen at Moulton Niguel Water District (949) 831-2500.
The District participates in the Water Issues Speakers Bureau of Orange County. The District will provide a speaker for your group or arrange for a speaker who will be able to address the interests of your group. The History of California's Water System, The Future of Southern California's Water, Conservation as a Way of Life, The Impacts of a Drought, Your Local Water Agency and Supply and Water Quality - How Good is the Water We Drink are just a few of the topics that may be of interest to your group.
The District coordinates tours for groups interested in visiting local water and wastewater facilities such as the Joint Regional Treatment Plant, the Diemer Filtration Plant and the Diamond Valley Lake.
It is the policy of the District to encourage customers to conserve water whenever and wherever possible. The water provided by the District is imported at considerable expense and has traveled hundreds of miles. When water is conserved, so is energy. Please contact us any time for water conservation information or suggestions. In addition to conservation literature, the District maintains a library of water, sanitation and wastewater information. These materials include videos, films and brochures. For additional information on the materials and programs available, please contact the District at (949) 831-2500.
The District Board Room is available for community use during off-business hours. The conference room has a seating capacity of 65 and is used extensively by civic, homeowner, and service organizations. If your organization is located within the District and you would like information regarding reservations, please call (949) 831-2500.
